Review the tips below to learn more about how you can help keep your account and information secure.

Multi-factor authentication

If you log in from a new place or make a change to sensitive account information, we may ask for some information to help confirm it’s really you. Specifically, we may ask you to enter a security code sent to your phone or email address or verify some of your account details. We may also send you an account alert just in case another person is accessing your account. If you think someone has logged in to your account without your permission, immediately update your password.

Password strength

To keep your account secure, here are some rules that we apply to the passwords on LoyalRate:

Your password can't be too similar to your other personal information (e.g. if your email is peterson@gmail.com", or if your name is "peterson", then the password containing "peterson" is not valid.
Your password must contain at least 8 characters and a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters (ex: #, $, , !).
Your password can't be a commonly used password. Security experts has a dictionary with a list of about 2000 most commonly used passwords. If your password matches any of them, we recommend you to change your password.
Your password can't be entirely numeric.

Beyond this, the password you use for your LoyalRate account should be different from the passwords you use for other websites, like your email, bank account, or social media. That way, if one of your other accounts is compromised, it's less likely to impact your LoyalRate account.
